What Does the INTERPOL Red Notice Risk Check Assess?
The risk check reviews several factors based on the information you provide, including the type of INTERPOL alert involved, whether the case may have a political dimension, any refugee or asylum status, the outcome of earlier proceedings involving the same facts, the nature of the underlying allegations, the existence of an arrest warrant or judicial decision, any border, visa or banking consequences, and whether a request has already been filed with the CCF.
These factors are used only to identify issues that may require further legal review. The result does not determine whether an INTERPOL Notice or Diffusion is valid, challengeable or capable of removal.
What Should You Do After the Risk Check?
The appropriate next step depends on what is already known about the INTERPOL alert and the stage of the case. If you are unsure what information INTERPOL holds about you, a request for access may be appropriate.
